How to play
Overview
UnImaginable UnThinkable Football is a free pro-football based game that lets you compete with friends, colleagues, and other football fans by picking four teams each week that you think can cover the point-spread. If you are unsure what a point-spread is, that's okay. There is an explanation below.
The competition runs the entire pro-football season including playoffs. Simply enter your selections each week.

UnImaginable - UnThinkable Bonuses
Please note that UnImaginable UnThinkable can be played free of charge. That being said, players may choose to use the following two rules at their own discretion.
If a player picks all 4 games correct in a single week, also known as "goes UnImaginable", all other players must pay the UnImaginable player $5 (or an agreed to sum of money)
If a player picks all 4 games wrong in a single week, also known as "goes UnThinkable", they must pay all other players $5 (or an agreed to sum of money)
What is a Point Spread?
Suppose Pittsburgh is playing Cleveland and Pittsburgh is believed to be the better football team. In bettor-speak, this makes Pittsburgh "the Favorite" and Cleveland "the Underdog." When choosing who will win between these two teams, bettors will almost always select the Favorite (Pittsburgh) to win the matchup because they are the better team.
To even the playing field for both teams, oddsmakers assign a point-spread to a matchup. Let's assume for this example that the point-spread is -7.5. If you were to pick Pittsburgh as one of your weekly picks, that means Pittsburgh, the Favorite, must beat Cleveland, the Underdog, by at least 7.5 points for the pick to be correct.
In other words, if Pittsburgh wins by a score of Pittsburgh=21, Cleveland=7, the pick is correct because Pittsburgh won by more than 7.5 points. However, if Pittsburgh won by a score of Pittsburgh=21, Cleveland=14, your pick would lose because Pittsburgh did not win by more than 7.5 points. Not only does Pittsburgh have to win the game, but they also have to win by a margin larger than the point-spread.
Similarly, if you were to pick Cleveland, the Underdog, to win the matchup, Cleveland only has to keep their final score within 7.5 points to win the matchup.
For example, if you picked Cleveland and they lost by a score of Pittsburgh=30, Cleveland=24, your pick would win because Cleveland kept the game within 7.5 points. Also, if Cleveland won the game outright Pittsburgh=30, Cleveland=50, the pick also wins.
When picking a team that is listed as the Favorite the question you should be asking yourself is "Do I think this team can beat the other team by a margin greater than the point-spread?"
When picking an Underdog, the question you should be asking yourself is "Do I think the Underdog can keep the game close enough to be within the point-spread?"
The spreads will look like this each week: (Go ahead and pick a few teams!)
